Passionate and deeply in love with his craft, Sergio embarked on his journey in hairstyling at the age of 14, following in the footsteps of his father and grandmother. By 17, he had already trained at some of the top academies in Spain, including Pivot Point Madrid and Cebado in Barcelona. At 18, he moved to London, where he became an Artistic Director for Toni & Guy, dedicating himself to creating collections and opening salons for the company. By 21, he returned to Spain and continued developing collections for his own hairdressing company.
It was during this time that he met Moncho Moreno, who introduced him to the world of makeup. Collaborating with Mario Sierra, he began creating collections that quickly graced the covers of leading industry magazines. In 2003, he became the Spanish champion of the Trend Vision Awards, and the following year, he was a finalist in the world championship. This marked the beginning of his journey with Wella. In 2005, he was once again the runner-up, and in 2007, he became a finalist in the Redken Creates contest.
Sergio later co-founded two hairdressing companies, Fashion & Co. and Pconpelo, establishing a total of eight active salons. In 2016, he became a trainer for Balmain. In 2018, he moved to Madrid to focus more on the fashion industry, furthering his expertise with courses in fashion styling, textures, and airbrush techniques at DeMaria, Graftobian, and Bogart.
His clientele includes Úrsula Corberó, Ana Polvorosa, Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, and Varry Brava, entrusting him with their hair transformations and the covers of their albums.
He is currently represented by XARTIST, and his work has been featured in Woman, Health, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Forbes, Neo2, and Metal, as well as in campaigns for Bulgari, Sprayground, DXL, Hawkers, and Couplé.
